Aeolian Islands Itinerary – Day 3

Aeolian Islands

These pearls of the Mediterranean owe their name to Aeolus, lord of the winds who, according to Homer, had his kingdom here. They will show themselves to you with all their surprises and contrasts: imposing volcanoes always active as in Stromboli and Vulcano, or a dense and lush vegetation as in Salina;

bizarre rock formations or prehistoric villages in Lipari, Panarea and Filicudi or, again, archaeological treasures returned from the sea and preserved in the Archaeological Museum of Lipari.

You will be received with kindness and cordiality by the Aeolians, the warm inhabitants of these islands that emerge from the limpid waters of this legendary sea, surviving the history and the changes of the modern world and preserving intact their identity, their customs, their traditions.

Organized excursions to the Aeolian Islands, departure from Tropea and S. Domenica di Ricadi.
